Program Overview
The Chaplaincy Program:
- Works with the Bridge teams in preparing the person served for re-entry back into the community.
- Embraces the Bridges of America wholistic treatment philosophy.
- Serves as a liaison between Bridges of America and the community.
- Works with family members, volunteers, and other stakeholders in utilizing a village approach to assist the person served in maintaining a productive lifestyle.
- Offers spiritual support during times of crisis, grief, and traumatic situations.
- Works in partnership with the Bridges of America goals and objectives in creating a therapeutic environment for treating the whole person: mental, physical, spiritual, and social.
- Concurs with the Bridges of America belief that the person served should have the proper skills and resources for a successful re-entry back into their community.
Chaplaincy Services
The Chaplain is responsible for providing chaplaincy services for the person served. All spiritual programs are voluntary. However, all individuals are encouraged to participate in them for wholistic treatment.
